Charming, cosy and traditional country house in a delightful setting, including a roaring open fire and period features.

Sleeps: 16 Bedrooms: 6

Description

One of the very best period properties in England and a valuable home in our collection, this gorgeous holiday home just oozes charm in every corner. There are 5 individually decorated bedrooms in the main house and a further 1-2 bedrooms in the adjacent Annex, most with en-suite bathrooms. The sensational master bedroom overlooks one of the prettiest woodland outlooks of any home, with rolling meadows disappearing into the distant countryside. The handy balcony bird table attracts rare species such as the lesser spotted woodpeckers and more common garden birds such as the chaffinch and blue tit. The property remains light and airy, even though its period features are rustic and the high ceilings allow plenty of headroom and add to the grandeur.

Great care and attention has been taken with the interior design with lots of comfy armchairs and sofas to relax on, some tucked away in little nooks and hideaway holes. The kitchen is well equipped and the solid wood table can seat up to 10 with the dining room able to accommodate up to 16. An additional table can be added for extra guests. The formal gardens are a sheer delight to behold, with topiary and many herbaceous borders lining the walls of the period manor.

The main property can be easily divided into three separate units, each having their own kitchen, bathroom space, retaining a sense of self contained space for privacy.
